You ship in your first month
No six-week onboarding, no shadowing. Your first pull request goes into a system a real business depends on, reviewed by the person who built the rest of it.
Pexalo is a small studio in Kuala Lumpur building AI agents that do real work for real companies. Not demos. Not decks. Systems that run on a Monday morning whether anyone is watching or not.
We are not going to tell you we're a family. Here is what is actually different about building here.
No six-week onboarding, no shadowing. Your first pull request goes into a system a real business depends on, reviewed by the person who built the rest of it.
Coinpresso, Chainspin, Omega Pets, Augment X. You sit in the audit, hear the founder describe the problem, then build the thing that fixes it.
Multi-agent systems, MCP servers, private small language models, retrieval over messy SME data. Not a chatbot wrapper. The hard parts are the job.
Small team, so there is nowhere for your work to disappear. You name the system, you monitor it, and you are the one who gets told when it saved someone eleven hours a week.
Bernard reads every application and sits in on builds. Decisions take hours, not committees. If something is broken you can say so and it changes.
Shopee, LHDN e-Invoicing, DuitNow, PDPA, MDEC grants. This is AI applied to the market you already understand, not a Silicon Valley template translated badly.
We would rather see a rough system that works than a polished deck about one that might. That applies to how we hire, how we sell, and how we review each other's work.
Every agent has an edge where it fails. We find it, write it down, and tell the client before they find it themselves. Honest limitations are the whole product.
We build systems that give a five-person finance team their Fridays back. If a build only makes sense by cutting someone loose, we say so.
Every role here touches a live client system from the first month.
Here is exactly what happens to your application, and where the humans are.
It extracts your experience, checks it against the role, looks at the link you sent, and writes a short assessment. It does not make decisions. It prepares a shortlist with its reasoning attached.
A person reads the agent's assessment and your CV, and decides who moves forward. The agent can be overruled, and often is.
Within a week you get a reply, whether it is a no or a next step. Nobody is left waiting on silence.
A 30-minute phone call, then a short paid task based on a real client problem, then a conversation with the founder. No AI interviews, no whiteboard puzzles.
The final gate is always a person. If the agent gets something wrong about you, reply to its email and a human will read it.
Write to hello@pexalo.com and tell us what you would want to build here. We keep a shortlist for the next opening, and we read all of it.
